Karol (Peace Corps Volunteer): “Nico! I want to help the kids of my community by raising funds and help them build a basketball court and a library.”
Musgo, Karol and Leja brainstormed a design solution: the development of a calendar featuring images of life in Kianjavato.
The calendar was given to potential donors to immerse them in the culture of the community and personalize the need.
To broaden the donor spectrum, we combined pictures and illustrations with Spanish and English descriptions.
We also use the calendar to highlight the beauty of Malagasy language.
A few months following production and distribution of the calendar, the court was hosting its inaugural games.
The effort also garnered a huge donation of books for the community’s new library.
